An Introduction to the Magic of Flight
FAA requirements are at least 40 hours of flight, but our experience has shown that students require an average of 60 hours in approximately 30 flights. Some students may require less time.
Plan to pay approximately $15,000, which includes $10,140 for 60 hours of aircraft rental at $169/hour (if ten-hour blocks are purchased) and $4968 for 69 hours with the instructor at $72/hour, plus online ground school, FAA medical, and FAA fees.
Pay as you go in ten-hour blocks of $2410, which includes fuel for the planes.
Pre-FAA check-ride prep is included.
There is an FAA check-ride fee of about $800, the FAA Knowledge test costs about $160, and the online ground school costs about $259.
Once you have your Private Pilot License, you can continue with us to earn your Instrument Pilot rating, CFI and CFII licenses, Commercial Pilot and Multi-Engine Rating, and prep for your Airline Transport Pilot license.
